Today marks the tenth anniversary of the Jaques Station's historic jump that eventually led to the founding of Colonia.
Following a successful community drive to supply the Orbis starport with fuel the week before, the station departed for its intended journey to Beagle Point. However, due to Thargoid sensor interference, it emerged from hyperspace in the Eol Prou RS-T d3-94 system. This system later became known as Colonia.
Jaques, the cyborg bartender and owner of the starport, recalled that event with Vox Galactica:
"I remember that day so vividly! A wildly ambitious endeavour at the time, too. It's hard to imagine ever doing that again."
"Ten years later and Jaques Station is still open, still serving drinks and still selling my famous Jaques Quinentian Still to potent potable enthusiasts. Most importantly, Colonia is thriving. It's high time we celebrated this, I'd say!"
When pressed for more information Jaques simply replied "Soon" with a cybernetic wink, and hinted that the intended celebrations to mark Colonia's tenth anniversary would have a lasting impact should plan go well.
Vox Galactica will be in regular contact with Jaques and the Colonia Council and provide updates ahead of this auspicious occasion.
