Vox Galactica business correspondent Marlon Royce spoke to several representatives of major names from the technology, transport, mining and tourism industries.
"Colonia stands as a beacon of human achievement in deep space," commented Naomi Landseer, chairperson of Lakon Spaceways. "Lakon Spaceways is synonymous with success out in the black, and we applaud the continued success of Colonia's people."
Meanwhile, Jaques and the Colonia Council gave Vox Galactica more behind-the-scenes information about planned festivities.
"It's high time the corporations in the core systems showered us with some love and attention," Jaques said enthusiastically from his bar. "So, we're inviting them to help us pull together the first 'Colonia Fair' - a galaxy-sized exposition that'll include exhibitions, activities, performances, films, art, food...and plenty of libations!"
Vox Galactica understands that preparations are underway for a massive transportation effort of commodities and rare goods from across the core systems to Colonia, with details of the logistics to be announced soon.

Terri Tora Released by October Consortium in Surprise Move

Terri Tora, the xenobiologist credited with triggering widespread interest in the HIP 87621 system, has been released.
Tora, who has been held in custody by October Consortium since her disappearance in late 3311, was investigating rumours of a significant xenobiological discovery when she stowed away on a Consortium megaship. She was later discovered in HIP 87621, having circumnavigated the system's permit lock, and incarcerated on charges of corporate espionage.
Speaking directly to Vox Galactica, Lexi October said that Tora had been "fully cooperative in questioning" following the security breach and recognised that recent events leading to the signing of the Accords had meant it was time to release her without further charges.
Tora issued the following statement:
"Well, that was an adventure I can tell you! I am relieved to be finally free and to know that things worked out in the end. It was a scary situation to be in."
"I hadn't considered the ramifications of my actions until fighting broke out across the surrounding systems. However, the supposed value of Radicoida wasn't my concern - my only motive was knowledge. Discoveries like this aren't meant to be kept a secret!"
Tora was met by colleague Professor Frank Raddix, who initially tipped off pilots about her absence, at Exogene Sciences. In partnership with Faulcon DeLacy, both confirmed that pilots not only secured vast quantities of exobiological data needed to investigate genetic diversity across the region but also helped confirm that the Nomad improved planetary exploration.
Chief Engineer Frank Endis, who supervised the campaign for Faulcon DeLacy, reported that the Nomad "allowed for more efficient exobiology sampling and research to be conducted than previously experienced by explorers."
"The new Mk II Biological Scanner and Mk II Sensor modules that the Nomad provides also offered explorers and exobiologists more productive journeys thanks to their enhanced range capabilities." he added.
With the trials now concluded, Faulcon DeLacy hopes that the Nomad will quickly become a key feature of long-range exploration and exobiology expeditions for those who own ships that can equip the vessel.
To help celebrate the release of the new ship-launched exploration vessel, Faulcon DeLacy has partnered with Vista Genomics in the initiative, calling on independent pilots to help test the Nomad's capabilities across extreme terrain.
Frank Endis, Chief of Design commented in a statement issued to Vox Galactica that "most exploration efforts naturally head towards the centre of the galaxy. We're keen to help Vista collect more data from systems on the fringes of the Milky Way."
Pilots taking part in the initiative will receive a bonus payout for any biological samples found throughout the Sanguineous Rim.
The Nomad is a ship-launched craft intended to aid explorers in larger ships, allowing them to explore planet surfaces and locations requiring tight manoeuvrability and speed.
Chief of Design, Frank Endis, stated in the press release:
"The Nomad is different to other ship-launched vessels in that it can fly independently of its mothership's presence. Our team recognised a gap in the market for a smaller craft that grants explorers an alternative option to using their primary ship when navigating difficult terrain."
"We're excited to see the most extreme places pilots can take it."
The Nomad comes with a new Mk II Biological Scanner with an enhanced range and is complemented by a Mk II Sensor for close range signals, allowing pilots to locate biological surface signals directly from the ship.
While careful not to criticise members of the October Accords directly, Winters made clear that denying the Federation any level of access to the research and its findings would force the superpower to act:
"We recognise the October Consortium's duty to uphold the Accords it helped establish as a framework for peace in the enclave conflict. However, I would remind Lexi October that the Federation rewards those who choose cooperation."
"Should the outcome of this research put the Federation at a technological or strategic disadvantage against its rivals, my administration will have no choice but to view the situation as a potential threat. That threat will, in turn, dictate our own research priorities."
Today's press conference from the White House marks the first time the President has spoken openly about the Accords since the conflict for HIP 87621 concluded in February this year.
With many leading exobiologists continuing to argue over whether Radicoida unica is a direct creation of the Guardians, Ram Tah clarified that the plant is almost certainly a natural flora.
Speaking to Leon Banerjee, science correspondent for Vox Galactica, Tah reiterated that whilst the context in the Guardian Archive links the long extinct race to using the plant, there is no evidence it was a creation of genetic engineering.
"There is evidence that the Guardians cultivated the plant for their own purposes and likely cross-pollinated it with other flora millions of years ago to enhance its medicinal effects," he went on to say.
Dr. Roy Casimir, chief researcher at the Holloway Bioscience Institute, echoed Ram Tah's statement when asked for comment as part of his continued collaboration with the October Consortium.
"The Consortium continues to provide us with fascinating data. We hope that those medicinal effects will reveal themselves to us over time as we continue to unlock the secrets of this incredible plant."

Frontline Solutions Announces Expansion of Services

Frontline Solutions has declared it intends to expand service processes to meet growing demand.
Security analysts have noted that piracy and mercenary groups have become more coordinated since the Second Thargoid War and recommend new tactics to combat the rise in criminal activity.
To meet these demands, Frontline Solutions is offering 'rapid deployment of mercenary strike teams where they are needed, when they are needed'.
"Frontline remains at the forefront of transporting combat-ready squads to faction-led military engagements" Imogen le Ray, CEO of Frontline Solutions stated in a press release.
"I have negotiated with shareholders to expand our coverage. Mercenaries may now be deployed to counter dangerous criminal activity, with registered combatants lawfully acting on behalf of a hiring faction."
Ahead of an expected spike in demand, Frontline announced the launch of a new vessel, dubbed 'The Runner.' This ship has been designed to rapidly transport mercenary squads and ships to operational locations.
"To avoid relying on an external manufacturer, we are independently constructing our Runners to maintain control of our logistical capabilities.", le Ray added, "To ensure we meet our initial deployment targets, we're requesting help for that final push to reach the planned fleet size."
Security officials have more reported instances of malware bearing sigils previously discovered in the Lhou Mans attack appearing at otherwise unconnected locations, often at trading outposts, surface ports, and outlying orbital installations.
Multiple malware sigils have also been reported by system authorities investigating data breaches, described as what appears to be 'twin axes', an 'animal', and an 'ornate mask' across separate incidents.
While no formal link has been established between the motifs, Crime correspondent Mira Bukowski has suggested that their appearance is linked to the reports surrounding the emergence of the pirate figure known as Lady Zi.
"These reports are too coincidental to be random and unconnected," she wrote for Vox Galactica.
In a statement issued to Leon Banerjee, science correspondent for Vox Galactica, he revealed that in the weeks since the discovery of the rare flora, he has been re-examining Archive data in the hope it would elicit more information about the plant's past origins.
Ram Tah referenced archive passages describing a "kingdom of blessed roots," alongside accounts of a substance derived from seed pods used by Guardian factions that rejected advanced technology.
"These traditionalist groups appear to have utilised a naturally occurring compound to enhance their warriors prior to battle during their civil wars," he explained.
"While much of the context remains unclear, the descriptions are striking."
Additionally, accompanying diagrams within the recovered data include biological schematics that bear a strong resemblance to recent resonance imaging of Radicoida unica.
"It was unfortunate, however, that a member of my team got way ahead of himself and alerted the October Consortium without permission about my discovery," he added.
"I can only assume this is what prompted their sudden interest in Guardian artefacts. We were willing to share this information, after all."
The implications of this discovery remain uncertain, although many now widely believe it may point to a far older, deliberate connection between the species of flora and the long-extinct Guardians.

Lhou Mans Starports Return to Full Operation

Starports damaged in recent attacks across the Lhou Mans system have been successfully repaired.
The stations bore the brunt of a recent rise in extreme and organised criminal activity allegedly led by the notorious pirate figure known only as Lady Zi.
A joint exercise between system security forces and independent pilots drove hostile forces from Lhou Mans and allowed for the safe evacuation of passengers stranded on the damaged stations before repair efforts could begin.
Following the successful delivery of commodities needed to complete the repairs, system authorities have now confirmed that Dashiell Port, Sabine Gateway, Ryman Enterprise and Webb City are fully operational, with normal services now resuming.
Following a successful community drive to supply the Orbis starport with fuel the week before, the station departed for its intended journey to Beagle Point. However, due to Thargoid sensor interference, it emerged from hyperspace in the Eol Prou RS-T d3-94 system. This system later became known as Colonia.
Jaques, the cyborg bartender and owner of the starport, recalled that event with Vox Galactica:
"I remember that day so vividly! A wildly ambitious endeavour at the time, too. It's hard to imagine ever doing that again."
"Ten years later and Jaques Station is still open, still serving drinks and still selling my famous Jaques Quinentian Still to potent potable enthusiasts. Most importantly, Colonia is thriving. It's high time we celebrated this, I'd say!"
When pressed for more information Jaques simply replied "Soon" with a cybernetic wink, and hinted that the intended celebrations to mark Colonia's tenth anniversary would have a lasting impact should plan go well.
